
The BV 222 was the largest flying boat built during the second World War. It had a Wingspan of 46 meters and a range of 7000 km. It was developed as an air-transport flying boat for the German Lufthansa. Non-stop flights between Germany and the US were planned carrying between 16 and 24 passengers at a take-off weight around 45 tons.
