Also known as a tailor’s clapper, this sturdy tool is used to get flat, crisp seams and creases while sewing. To use, you press your seam with a steam iron, then press the clapper onto the seam. The wood absorbs the steam, and holds the heat inside of your fabric. Your fabric needs the right combination of hot to cool, and steam to dry, in order to make a perfectly flat seam. Made of hardwood, the clapper is 24 cm long, 3.5 cm deep and weighs 284 grams.
